About Us

Writers who game. Gamers who write.

Lydia Netzer and Joshilyn Jackson have been friends and writing partners since graduate school. Over these many years of publishing novels, they’ve traveled together to book festivals, work retreats, and teaching gigs. They are long-time collaborators, and playing Dungeons & Dragons is their favorite way to tell stories together. Their text-based D&D game has been running for years, and they also play together with larger groups at live tables and over the internet. After all these years of writing, gaming, and sharing lives, they finish each other’s sentences and read each other’s minds; this project feels like the natural culmination of countless hours of joyfully working and playing together.
